An epic showdown between two modern day torchbearers of experimental dub music and the legendary Jamaican musical icon. On-U Sound are proud to present exclusive new versions of an Adrian Sherwood-produced Lee “Scratch” Perry tune, sent on a far-out excursion by the brains behind cult “8-bit reggae” label Jahtari.

On the A side, Rootah turns out a casio-fried galactic funk re-rub primed to nice up the dance. Shades of Prince Jammy’s computerised dub ricochet around a brilliantly demented vocal from The Upsetter. A distant descendent of classic Black Ark floorfiller “Disco Devil”.

On the flip Disrupt spaces things out further into a maze of arcade machine blips and vocoder delay, while a soulful girl group chorus beams down from the cosmos. This is dancehall from saturn, lovers rock made by aliens. Another Pipecock Jackson premonition, another 2026 On-U Sound creation.
