On-U Sound

Longtime members of the On-U family, Valerie Skeete and Vyris Edghill aka Akabu have made guest appearances on a number of the other On-U records (and even recorded an early electro single for Tommy Boy in 1984 with Sherwood at the controls) but it wasn’t until 1995 that they finally recorded an album for the label. Warm, soulful vocal harmonies over Adrian Sherwood rhythms, with instrumental contributions from Skip McDonald (Tackhead, Little Axe).
